Junior Race Week 2013
Monday 19th August to Friday 23th August

Junior Race Week is a fantastic introduction to racing or an ideal opportunity to hone your racing skills. Some 98 young sailors took part in the week of dinghy racing in St Mawes Harbour in 2012 and we expect to have similar numbers this year.

Racing takes place each morning with a briefing on Sunday 18th August for sailors and parents. This year the briefing will be at 1030 in the Memorial Hall because of Percuil Regatta in the afternoon of the same day. At the end of the week we usually have a BBQ on Summers Beach. Parents man rescue boats, assist the race officer, manage sign on/off and heaps of other jobs both on and off the water.

If you are able to help, crewing, driving or providing a rescue boat please contact Mark Osborn.(Click here) There will be safety boat training on Sunday18th for everyone who is planning to help on the water.

New for 2013 will be a fast handicap class aimed at our Youth sailors sailing the likes of RS200/500s, Lasers, 29ers etc. They will have their own start and a longer course.
