Membership
St Mawes Sailing Club is open to all ages for the enjoyment of both on and off the water activities. The club runs a full programme of on the water activities throughout the Spring, Summer, and Autumn, as well as a lively clubhouse throughout the year catering for the club’s onshore activities. Stoneworks Quay in St Mawes is the club’s own waterside facility for dinghy and outboard engine storage and is also home to our sail training programme. There is a dedicated training room for sail tuition and toilet and shower facilities. The club’s fleet of sailing dinghies and support boats are also kept here.
Details of both on the water and social activities throughout the year can be found on the Clubs website. A monthly newsletter also keeps members informed of upcoming events.
The Club is a member of POFSA (Port of Falmouth Sailing Association) and the RYA (Royal Yachting Association) and follows their recommendations as far as safety and the over-seeing of on the water activities.
St Mawes Sailing Club is a recognised RYA Training Centre that includes a Junior Sail Training section offering tuition for junior and cadet members to the worldwide renowned high standards of teaching, safety and equipment laid down by the RYA.
