AM Beginners & Improvers

Sailing course for novices and upwards, aged 8 plus. Children will be working towards their RYA Stages 1 to 2.

Stage 1

A basic understanding of how a boat sails, with some experience of steering and handling the boat.

Stage 2

A range of sailing skills and knowledge to help in becoming a confident sailor.  Skills learnt include; launching and recovery, steering, parts of the boat, basic sailing skills, rope work and collision avoidance.

Sailing is undertaken in either Hartley 10s or the Laser Pico provided by the Club.
