Welcome to St Mawes Sailing Club, a lively and friendly sailing and racing club
We are one of the leading sailing clubs in the south-west of England, with a very active RYA recognised Junior Sail Training section and several competitive One Design racing fleets. Located in the beautiful Fal Estuary, we are lucky enough to be able to sail in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
The Club runs events throughout the sailing season, with racing from May to October and social events throughout the year. Besides the iconic Falmouth Work Boat fleet, St Mawes has active racing fleets of Ajax, Rustler/Pipers and St Mawes One Design, all of which can be seen participating in racing on Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings. We welcome visiting sailors and their families and encourage regular participation in all of the Club’s activities.

LONG LOCH ONE DESIGN SAILING CHAMPIONSHIP 2026
St Mawes Sailing Club is proud to announce that it will host the Long Loch One Design Sailing Championship from 20th to 27th June 2026, bringing a full week of competitive racing and harbour side activity to the village. Tresanton Classics - Entries Open
This is the 6th year of the Tresanton Classics regatta, which is hosted by St Mawes Sailing Club. The regatta celebrates the iconic design of Hotel Tresanton's magnificent 8-metre classic yacht PINUCCIA, with a single Harbour race on 18 July from 2-4pm, starting from the region of Tavern beach.
