Welcome to St Mawes Sailing Club, a lively and friendly sailing and racing club
We are one of the leading sailing clubs in the south-west of England, with a very active RYA recognised Junior Sail Training section and several competitive One Design racing fleets. Located in the beautiful Fal Estuary, we are lucky enough to be able to sail in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
The Club runs events throughout the sailing season, with racing from May to October and social events throughout the year. Besides the iconic Falmouth Work Boat fleet, St Mawes has active racing fleets of Ajax, Rustler/Pipers and St Mawes One Design, all of which can be seen participating in racing on Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings. We welcome visiting sailors and their families and encourage regular participation in all of the Club’s activities.

St Mawes sailor Noah Carden wins Aero 5 Youth World Championship Silver

St Mawes Carnival -1st- 8th August 2026
The St Mawes 2026 Carnival Week runs from 1st to 8th August. The week is fuller than ever with old favourites returning, the Dog Show, Prize Bingo, Childrens' Crabbing, Quiz Night, The Fun Run as well as new events, Teddy Bear's Picnic, DJ Music Dance evening gig rowing and Shanty singing.
