FALMOUTH SAILING WEEK 2026
Published 01:00 on 2 Jun 2026
Falmouth Sailing Week features up to seven days of fleet racing for more than twenty classes from IRC Yachts and Falmouth Working Boats to Mirror dinghies with competitors ranging from experienced champions to novices. The racing takes place in the world-class racing waters of Falmouth Bay and The Carrick Roads (lower Fal Estuary). The area is one of the finest natural venues for sailing events in the world, noted for its immense natural beauty and deep, sheltered waters.
Competitors are in good company, sailing in the waters that have played host to many prestigious events over the years, ranging from iconic J-Class superyachts to the Finn World Championship won by Falmouths own Sir Ben Ainslie shortly before winning Olympic Gold in 2012.
The combination of exceptional sailing conditions, a rich maritime heritage, a vibrant shoreside programme across six local clubs, and a strong commitment to protecting the waters we depend on, makes Falmouth Sailing Week a true festival of racing, community and coastal celebration.
