St Mawes Sailing Club- October 2024 Newsletter

What a glorious day for St Mawes harbour race: perfect weather for Falmouth Working Boats. Many thanks to Graham Pinkney whose fabulous photos are now on the Club Facebook page.  With a good turnout of both Class B and Class C boats, the Class B race was won by Nellie May, with Rita second and Helen Mary third.

Autumn Pursuit races will run on Sundays from the end of September through to 20th October. Lets hope for some balmy autumn days!

We are pleased to tell you that profits from crew teas on St Mawes Day in Falmouth Sailing Week meant that we have been able to donate £400 to the Roseland Youth Sailing Trust.

Film nights at the Hidden Cinema in St Mawes Hotel will start again in October.  Many thanks to Janice Young for organising these events. The booking system will be different this year.  Please email Janice at janicey7@googlemail.com to book seats.  There will be a charge of £5 payable at the hotel for the film, home-made ice cream and popcorn. If there are any films that you would like to request please let Janice know.
