RO/ARO's-The Duty Roster is now easily accessible on the Sailing Club website

With just under 3 weeks to go to the start of the SMSC racing season, kicked off with the Pursuit series, the RO/ARO roster is up and running (and filled up)..
We are fortunate that Simone Kennett has volunteered her services (injury sadly precludes her from participating) for the Early Bird Pursuit Races, and the May Day Cups she will need an ARO to assist her with the May Day Cups on Sunday 26th May, so, any volunteers, please make yourselves known..
Thankfully, we do have a core of Ros and AROs who undertake a bulk of the duties, but we do require others to volunteer. If you can see yourself committing to even just one or two duties, that would be a tremendous help. No one manning the Race Office means no racing and we dont want to contemplate that scenario!
The Duty Roster is now easily accessible on the Sailing Club website if you have problems accessing this, please get in touch with either Ian Reid or Mike Grice.
Finally, we would like to invite all RO/ARO's to an informal get together at the Sailing Club on Monday, 20th May at 7.30 Drinks and nibbles will be provided. It will be an opportunity for you to ask what is involved being an RO/ARO, speak to people who already do it, and get a feel as to what is involved in providing an extremely important service to the Sailing Club.
If you can attend on Monday, 20th May, that would be great if you could let Ian Reid know, that would be even more helpful...Meanwhile, please consult your diaries as to when you could fulfil a duty, and we look forward to seeing you on the 20th May.
